PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Meet Toni
Before founding Dovetail Design Studio in 2018, Toni was building her reputation in the region creating interiors for both residential and commercial use. She has been working full time as an interior design professional since 2004. Toni has a bachelor’s degree in interior design with a minor in art history, she is a Kentucky Certified Interior Designer through the Kentucky Board of Architects, is NCIDQ certified, and a LEED Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council.
Personal passions in architecture, antiques, travel, and design books provide her with constant inspiration. Her favorite season is home show season, and she has been known to travel far and wide for a good tour. One of her professional goals is to use her gifts of organization, creativity, and technical knowledge to cultivate the design of interior spaces.
When not immersed in design, you’ll find her near the water, exploring the outdoors, or trying a new dessert.
Connection
Our favorite part about the design process is the relationships we build. We’ve had the pleasure of working with some extraordinary people. Above all, our work is grounded in and inspired by the trusting relationships we foster with our clients.
Professionalism
It’s the unique combination of being both creative and knowledgeable that sets us apart. We love making things beautiful, but also understand the importance of how a space functions; the complexities of building codes; and the challenges of construction practices.
Collaboration
It takes a team of professionals to take a project from start to finish. We have a tremendous amount of respect for the trades; these are the craftsmen that make our design ideas a reality. We provide them with detailed 2d and 3d drawings to make communication as clear as possible.
