Color Forecast 2019

Looking to kickstart the new year with a splash of color? Check out our forecast for the top color trends in 2019!

Deep Greens

We started to see dark jades and emerald greens make their way into interiors this past year, but expect to see these colors a lot more in 2019.  Inspired by nature, these forest green tones add a moody but inviting aura to any room.  PPG’s Night Watch and Sherwin Williams’ Roycroft Bottle Green are personal favorites.

Clay & Terracotta

These earthy tones and warm hues are a great alternative to your neutral beige or browns. Add a little zest or subtle energy to a space with an accent wall or furniture finish, like these chairs painted with Behr’s Mars Red. These warm colors instantly elevate the dreariest of rooms! Our go-to color for a warm orange tone is Sherwin Williams Cavern Clay.

Misty Blues

Soft, pastel shades of blue are making a statement in 2019. For those traditionalists out there, opt for more neutral tones like icy or charcoal shades of blue to breathe new life into your favorite room. For those willing to go a bit bolder, try splashing these colors on your kitchen cabinets or entry door to add an unexpected pop of color.

Warmer Neutrals

Benjamin Moore just released their 2019 color of the year Metropolitan, and it’s a much-welcomed change from the cooler grays we’ve been using the last few years. These neutrals offer the perfect backdrop to any room. Also, try Farrow & Ball’s Slipper Satin No.2004 for an even warmer look.

Soft Pastels

Super light pastels with just a subtle touch of lilac, blush, or powder blue are a great way to bring a hint of color to your interiors. Check out Sherwin Williams’ Elation or Millennial Pink, Valspar’s Blushing Bride or Seattle Haze, or Benjamin Moore’s Proposal for some color inspiration!
